About Shades Canvas

Shades was founded in 2009 initially hiring traditional canvas tents across the North of England.  Now 16 years later much about us has changed! We work throughout the UK and over the past few years the company has grown rapidly. We add to our marquee portfolio on a regular basis, and are always extending our range of furniture, bars and accessories. Much of our furniture is hand made by Paul and the team.

We have a diverse range of tents, centred around our hugely popular Aurora Sailcloth marquees. We have extended our collection over the past few years to include a great range of Stretch Tents with complementary linings and furnishings.

NEW FOR 2025!

We expanded further over the winter of 2024 taking on the northern branch of Nomadic Washrooms, which we are really excited about. We often admired these units when couples hired them previously, because they really make something that is a necessity for marquee events a real feature and talking point.

Whilst our tents and accessories are always expanding and developing, our core values remain the same. Here at Shades we value the personal touch and understand how important your event is. We are known for delivering high quality service and marquees at a reasonable price. We know this because many of our bookings are from recommendations from previous clients.
